2013 Oscars Announced - Lincoln Leads and Many Surprising Disappointments

As was discussed yesterday and like clockwork, the Academy Awards Nominations were announced this morning for the 2013 Ceremony.
The brightly lit and cheery faces of Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone were on hand to read off the names of this years top recipients of the nominees of which the winners will be announced on Feb 24 at 7 PM EST/6 PM CST.
The exciting news - from an Independent Film side of things, the industry managed to rack up some nice nominations for Actress, Documentary and Foreign Languages but the most exciting news is the nominations for the 2012 Sundance and Indie-darling Beasts of the Southern Wild to get noms in both Directing and Picture.
